Davo finds fashion grueling.

Once every year or so I actually get out there and buy clothes.

Today is one of those days

Visited stores - Cipher, Detour and Grueling and got in a grungy, multi attachy mood.

New look Davo wearing :

• Jeans - Jeans Dark Blue - *Redgrave
• Boots - 0th - Thanes “De-Railed” Assault Boots

This look feels really cool and the prims and flexis all moved so cool when I do my 1984 dancing.

Wearing the jacket though means the Tshirt has an exposed tummy which is not a good look but i cant bare to go shirtless under this. Any suggestions please add a comment. Your help will make for a better Davo.

Grueling is a cool shop. Light on designs but i like it. The models stand there rotating..and they dont talk to u.. a bit rude i think.

The scripting on the belt is great with a few diff designs in it and the resizing by +10% etc works fantastic. The store has a great Update service without joining a group and a redelivery system that works a charm when Lagsville SL tries to deprive our INV.

My Machinima Machinations Much ado about nuffin

Love the song by 16YO Australian Gabriella Cilmi - Sweet about me.

I did want to make a video showing 3 scenes of a sweet looking person who then does something not so sweet. I am impatient. Not in SL as much as i’d like to do lil projects like this so my video epic became just one scene.

Maybe i should call it Sweet episode 4 and outsource completion of the rest of it for fun…hmmm well if anyone actually watches it or reads this blog and is inspired to make the other episodes/ scenes please let me know.

Valentines Hidden Hearts on La Reina

Oooo Hidden all over La Reina are lil hidden Valentines Hearts.

I think all the shops in La Reina have these beauties…and best of all they are 0L or 1L ..but for what ?

In mine are 3 special Dancefloor/ wall art animated texture single prim thingies that i sell for 100L each normally… 300L value for 1L ??

A quick look at my Stats for Feb 10th shows 115 sales of these hidden hearts in MY STORE alone..thats 34,500L worth of dancefloors out in the world.

AND the other shops actually make such cool fantastic fashionable stuff.

I think Gorgeous Yongho could rename this the “La Reina Multi-Million Linden Valentines Give-away” !!!!

Calling all Fashionistas, cool kids, bargain hunters, Secondlife Inventory Hoarders, Valentines “get ur own gift”ers and anyone with an eye for fun to get to La Reina and snatch up some sweet stuff.

Juicy evacuation

All the lil shops are moving over to Gorgeous’ SIm La Reina..It’s a busy lil place and deserves it.. Cute boardwalks..pretty shops and such interesting products.. Gogo also looks after people who are in her SIM making them feel welcome and part of the La Reina family..

Avatars - Are they changing ?

One of the things i really miss is my old website for AV art (HotorNot AV).

I think it was around this time in 2005 that it ended when the free space provider umm unprovided.
Here’s a snapshot of the old website:

Top rated AV at that time was Lexi

I remember starting the website because people loved having their snaps taken and displayed. It was a great way to meet people in my early time and my first attempts at a huge SL AV gang picture was too much hard work.

Take a look at the AV’s in this lineup from 2004:

So tell me..have the AV’s in Secondlife developed much.

I believe after the photorealistic skins that we have become a world of clones limited by the AV shapes and texture combo..but the depth of hair, clothing and attachments still keeps the individual styles interesting enough that an AV can feel unique and You.

Other games are moving ahead in the details on the AV’s that maybe SL cant keep up with.

I have often discussed with people in SL about whether the “goal” is to recreate reality….because i think the fantastic and imaginary is much more interesting.
